After a rest day, I had to finish the climb up past Boulder Mountain. It was a little steeper than I expected, with 8 to 10% grades. The scent of the evergreens was strong today. I don’t think I have noticed the scent that strong since New England. It made the ride up the mountain pleasant.
When I got to Boulder on the other side, I was pretty tired and it was getting late. There are three motels in Boulder, UT. All three were full when I got to town. No big deal; I am getting used to that in Utah. A little south of town, I found a two track road. It only went a little way off the highway before it became a dry stream bed. I followed the stream a little bit and found a spot to camp along the bank.
