Nothing is open in small towns on Sunday. This may be more so in Utah than other states. I am still in an agriculture area, though the land is becoming more arid and the vegetation is beginning to change.

I made it to Blanding. I am about to hit my first really long stretch with no services, so I need to figure out a way to carry extra water. There is an outdoor store in Blanding. Of course, it is closed on Sunday. I will have to check it out early in the morning.

I did come across a first for this trip. Outside the visitor’s center there is a Tesla recharging station. I may have been in towns with recharging stations before, but this is the first I have seen.

I passed 4000 miles today. I did a little calculating in Delores. By the time I finish this trip, I will have ridden about 5100 miles. When I started, I thought it would be about 4300 at most. That extra 800 miles probably accounts for about three weeks of riding and is part of the reason it is taking me longer to do this ride than I expected. I don’t feel so slow now.
